Things to do around the Triangle – September 12-13

Sunflowers

September brings beautiful weather to North Carolina. And festivals! There is so much to do around the Triangle this weekend. Here are some of our suggestions:

If you are looking for family friendly events, check out the Raleigh Annual Greek Festival this Friday through Sunday at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds. In addition to the fabulous food, there will be traditional Greek Folk dancing, cooking demonstrations, and plenty of fun activities for the kids.

Another fun event for the family is the Athens Drive Library Celebration in Raleigh on Saturday. There will be a family story time, puppet show, activity stations for kids, and lots more.

Garner is celebrating this weekend with the Carnaval Latino  on Saturday also. Come out with your family and celebrate the Latino culture, where there will be food trucks, performers, and local artists. It sounds like a fun event!

If you are interested in more adult-oriented activities, the Triangle has plenty of those this weekend as well.  Beericana, a craft beer and music festival is schedule for Saturday in Holly Springs.  And for those music lovers, Hopscotch is September 10th-12th at the Raleigh City Plaza.

We hope you get out and enjoy the weekend!
