On a personal note…
Jen had a great August! Her youngest daughter turned 8 this month so they have been celebrating all month. Happy Birthday, Savy! Jen’s family had fun going to Wet n’ Wild and a Japanese steakhouse with some of their family friends- The Fredericksons, hosting a sleepover for her daughters and a couple of her daughters’ friends that, also, included a trip to Adventure Landing and out to dinner at TGI Fridays and then, a pool party at “Meemaws” house. Also, Jen’s family is in full blown soccer mode as this month soccer started for both girls and her husband is the head coach for their youngest daughter’s team and one of the assistant coaches for their oldest daughter’s team.
Jason had an awesome August!!! He had a successful climb of Mt. Rainier with his younger brother, Matthew, and good buddy, Joe! Except for some heavy winds and fun ladders to cross, they made it up and down safely with a summit under their belts. On the way back from Washington, Jason and his brother stopped by Las Vegas for a few nights of fun, but were glad to be back home. Jason says he needs a vacation from his vacation! He is going to Asheville with some friends in late August for a quick weekend as well. Soccer has started back up and the next semester of teaching is right around the corner as well!
Sharon has been spending as much time as possible this summer enjoying her favorite NC spot – Kerr Lake, boating, camping and relaxing in between working with her clients. Sam spent a week at Band camp in Frostburg, Maryland is busy practicing with the band getting ready for Football season and competitions. Ryan has been volunteering as a “Techie” at Raleigh Little Theater and getting ready to start his freshman year at Enloe HS. They’ve all enjoyed some time in the mountains as well visiting their “Asheville” Family.
Donna and her Family enjoyed a wonderful trip to the mountains in VA. It was great getting ‘back to nature’ and participating in outdoor activities that included star gazing, pond fishing, archery and riding ATV’s through mountain paths. Brianna is ‘gearing up’ for the start of Softball season and is excited to join NWCBA. Donna is busy shopping for school supplies and looks forward to the start of the new school year. Donna and John are celebrating their 20th Wedding Anniversary this month.
