Wake Forest Easter Egg HuntHippity Hoppity! The Wake Forest Parks & Recreation Department will sponsor its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 5th at E. Carroll Joyner Park. There will be over 10,000 eggs hidden for the hunt and a handful of “golden eggs”; kids that find these lucky eggs will receive a special prize! Children ages 3 and younger will hunt for eggs beginning at 10 a.m.; ages 4-6 will begin at 11 a.m.; ages 7-9 get underway at 1 p.m.; and ages 10-12 get started at 2 p.m. This egg hunt is definitely tech-savvy; Android and iPhone users can have a handy pocket guide to the Easter Egg Hunt in the palm of their hands by downloading the Town of Wake Forest app and using the app’s “Easter Egg Hunt” function. The app gives users important details about the Easter Egg Hunt,  egg hunt times and information about E. Carroll Joyner Park. Android, iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad users can download the town’s free app by searching for “Town of Wake Forest” on iTunes, in the iPhone app store, or in Google Play or by scanning the appropriate QR code provided at www.wakeforestnc.gov/app.aspx.

In the event of inclement weather, the Easter Egg Hunt may be moved inside the Flaherty Park Community Center, 1226 N. White St. For weather-related updates prior to the hunt, call the Town of Wake Forest Weather Line at 919-435-9569. Smart phone users who have downloaded the app will receive a push notification message informing them of any schedule changes.
