March 2014 Spring has arrived…almost!!! On a personal note… Jen had fun in February playing in the snow, but now she says enough is enough with the snow and she is ready for spring!!!! It took Jen and her daughters 6 hours to get home from taking pictures for one of LuxuryMovers listings the day of the big snowstorm; she guesses there is a reason why they called off school that day!!! Jen and her family took a quick trip to the beach to do some spring cleaning at their cottage- they were happy to have some down time at their new neighbors’, Fred and Lori’s, beautiful home. Jason had a great February staying local in Raleigh for most of the month. He did go visit his little brother, Matthew, for a weekend who attends UNCW and quickly realized he’s not as young as he thought he was! Jason did complete his latest renovation project and put it on the market – it sold in 5 days! He’s been playing indoor and outdoor soccer and teaching at Wake Tech starts back up this month. In addition, he is in his final few weeks of training for his end of March climb of Mt. Whitney with his older brother, Ron. Your LuxuryMovers gave back to…American Red Cross and of course, girl scout cookies!
Did you know…According to the Tarr Report, showings peak in March & April, then decrease most months through December. 1/14 showings increased 42% compared to 12/13 showings, in line with historical patterns. January to January showings were down 14%; part of the explanation of this could lie within the 6% inventory decrease and part could lie on the weather.
