Celebrate Independence Day Around The Triangle!

Click over to WRAL.com to check out this awesome map of Fourth of July events in the area. Each map bubble will give you the location and event details. There is so much to do to celebrate Independence Day in the Triangle! Here are a few of of favorites:

*”The Works” celebration in downtown Raleigh! This is a free event starting at noon on July 4th featuring activities, food and beverage vendors, and performances from Fayetteville Street to the Red Hat Amphitheater. Take part in classic summer games like the hot dog eating or watermelon seed spitting contests or visit one of the stages to take in live music. Many of downtown’s restaurants will be lining the streets. Top off the day with one of the two planned fireworks shows. Click here for more details. Other great downtown events are Independence Day at the State Capitol and Red, White, and Blue For You at Marbles

*The Town of Clayton’s Annual July 4th celebration is one of the area’s largest fireworks shows! The party starts at 4:30 PM on July 4th at Stallings Street Municipal Park. There will be free ice cream and watermelon and family-friendly games and rides. Enter the cornhole tournament while you listen to music by Eastbound Band. The spectacular fireworks display starts at 9:15 PM. Click here for more details.

*Concert at Cary’s Koka Booth! Celebrate Independence Day with patriotic performances by the Cary Town Band and the NC Symphony at Cary’s Booth Amphitheater. There will also be ice cream and watermelon eating contests, magicians, a video game truck, and more! The gates will open for this free event at 3 PM and the party will continue until the fireworks show at 10 PM. Click here for event info.
