If you are still without a New Year’s Eve plan, head down to Raleigh’s First Night celebration, featuring what is possibly the world’s largest acorn! First Night is an all-day celebration in downtown Raleigh, with events beginning at 2 PM that continues into the evening to ring in the New Year with the acorn drop at midnight. First Night has activities for the whole family from a Ferris wheel to an early acorn drop (at 6PM) for those who can’t quite make it to midnight!
