Thinking about a move to the Triangle? Raleigh should be on your radar.

The City of Oaks just went to battle with some of the most well-known cities in the nation and walked away with a top spot on WalletHub’s list of the 2017 Best State Capitals to Live In.

Claiming the eighth position on the list of 50 state capitals, Raleigh scored very well in affordability and economic wellbeing coming in the top 15 percent of cities in both categories. The personal finance website also recognized the Triangle city for its educational and healthcare offerings and overall quality of life.

“Raleigh is a powerhouse city when it comes to offering the factors and features home buyers seek,” said David Jones, President and COO for Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston. “Our capital city and the surrounding suburbs are some of the best places to live in the nation thanks to a relatively low cost of living, great public and recreational resources, and the jobs top professionals desire.”

The Triangle’s largest city, Raleigh plays host to a prospering business landscape that is propelling tremendous growth and development. Its proximity to the Research Triangle Park and the state’s top universities and colleges also make it ideal for families seeking a quality place to call home.

Raleigh’s public recreational offerings are also held in high regard with more than 9,000 acres of parkland and over 150 miles of greenways and trails for residents and visitors to enjoy. A thriving food and cultural scene entices with award-winning chefs and restaurants, live performances, music festivals, pro-hockey games and more.

“We’re heading into a spring selling season on the heels of the best real estate market we’ve ever experienced in the Triangle. We’re confident that this year will prove to be exciting as well,” adds Jones.
