#TBT: The Raleigh Times paper boys, August 1914. The Raleigh Times began publishing in 1879 as the Press Visitor. The Times Building was erected in 1906 at 14 E. Hargett Street. In 1955, the paper was sold to the News and Observer, its main rival. On November 30th, 1989, the Raleigh Times put out its final edition. The building has been repaired and restored and is now the Raleigh Times Bar.
