If you are still looking for some family-friendly holiday activities, you can still catch performances of two beloved holiday classics locally! There are still several scheduled performances of the Carolina Ballet’s The Nutcracker at Raleigh’s Memorial Auditorium, as well as 5 performances of Theater In The Park’s A Christmas Carol over at the DPAC. The Carolina Ballet’s imaginative version of The Nutcracker is set to a live symphony orchestra, and will be performed December 19th-28th at Memorial Auditorium. Ira David Wood’s version of the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol is celebrating its 40th year in production, and the witty and moving musical adaptation is a widely beloved holiday tradition amongst area locals. Having just completed its Raleigh run, the production is moving to the DPAC in Durham for a 5 show residence from December 19th-22nd. Click here for performance times and ticket info.
