August 2014

The Summer heat is here in Raleigh, NC!!!

On a personal note…

Jen had a nice time with her children this past month as they were on track out.  They were able to take a quick weekend trip with family to the beach and, also, spend time at NC State where Jen’s oldest attended soccer camp.  During this time of going back and forth to NC State, Jen, her mother in-law and girls could not pass up the opportunity to make several stops at Sugarland and the other wonderful shops at Cameron Village.  Also, Jen and her family spent a lot of time at Jen’s Mom’s pool to try to beat the heat!  Now, it is time for Jen’s kids to buckle down this month as her youngest started 1st grade and oldest started 3rd…time flies!

Jason had a nice July! He stayed in Raleigh the entire month and worked some on a new investment home he bought, as well as helped his Dad paint the outside of his home – nothing like working outside all weekend in the heat! He did go to Ocean City, MD during the first weekend of August to visit some friends and get a few days of R&R.  He is still teaching and getting ready for his Fall soccer to start.

Sharon spent the month of July staying very busy adjusting to her new role with the team at Luxury Movers!  She also managed to fit in a bit of summer vacation with her kids.   She and her two sons, Sam and Ryan, along with her boyfriend and his two children, spent the week of July 4th camping and boating at Kerr Lake. What a blast!   If you’ve never been to Kerr Lake, ask Sharon how beautiful it is!  She also had the opportunity to spend a few days up in New York visiting family and seeing some sites including riding the coasters at Coney Island and eating famous Nathan’s hot dogs. It’s always good though to come back home to North Carolina!

Your LuxuryMovers gave back to…The Wake Co. Salvation Army Woman’s shelter.

Did you know…The tally is in from the Tarr Report…YTD closed sales are up 2%.  May closings were up by 3%.  The months housing supply is at its lowest level during the past 13 months.  Also, the median annual wage is up by 5% since 2010 which, while not seem like much, has been in integral part of the financial healing process necessary to aid in the end of the recession.
