Find a Job in the Triangle
On the heels of Realtor.com’s report spotlighting the Triangle area as one of the next big, but still affordable, tech towns, our Triangle metro earned another top 10 ranking as one of the best cities in the nation for job seekers as compiled by Indeed.
The world’s leading job site, Indeed sifted through data for the 50 metro areas with the most job postings on its online platform to determine which of the cities reigned supreme for job seekers. Variables considered included the status of the local labor market, average salaries and cost of living, work-life balance, and job security.
Our Raleigh metro quickly rose to the top of the list claiming the No. 3 spot behind Miami and Orlando with a position well ahead of other prominent business cities. According to Indeed’s research report:
Raleigh, NC has the friendliest labor market for job seekers of all the cities on the list, and also performs well salary-wise. In fact, the city’s strong showing in these areas does a lot to lift the overall score and compensate for weaker rankings when it comes to work life balance and job advancement and security.
Major employers with a significant presence here include Duke University and Health System and IBM. BLS data, meanwhile, shows that the biggest employer is professional services and business.
