#TBT – We are throwing back to 1910 and the Mint Cola Bottling Company in Raleigh. Mint Cola Bottling Company was located in the Prince Hall Masonic Temple building on the northeast corner of South Blount and Cabarrus Streets in downtown Raleigh. Built in 1906, the Masonic Temple served as a meeting place for Prince Hall Masons as well as an office building. The Italianate style building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is now occupied by small businesses, including a barbershop. Mint Cola was based in Salisbury, and later changed its name to reflect its most popular soda, Cheerwine. Happy Thursday!
