Get ready for some knee-slapping, foot-tapping, good music as the Wide Open Bluegrass Festival returns to Raleigh tomorrow and Saturday.
This popular event offers a ticketed Main Stage at Red Hat Amphitheater as well as a free StreetFest with performances across seven stages and numerous activities staggered throughout downtown Raleigh.
The festival’s Main Stage event will host well-known talent including the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, the Del McCoury Band, and more. One-day and two-day ticket passes are still available to purchase online.
Out on the city’s streets, festival attendees will enjoy lively performances by 90+ local and regional bluegrass bands, tasty foods from area vendors and Triangle food trucks, an art market, and an assortment of other fun activities. The International Bluegrass Music Association World of Bluegrass Expo will also take place at the Raleigh Convention Center.
