Raleigh Ranks as  a Top City to Start a CareerPerfectly timed with the numerous college graduations that took place this past weekend, a recent study has named Raleigh among the very best cities in the U.S. to start a career.

Conducted by personal finance research website WalletHub, the study reviewed the 150 largest U.S. cities “to determine the relative strength of their job markets as well as the attractiveness of their social scenes and other factors important to job-market entrants.”

The Capital City ranked quite well securing sixth place by posting solid scores for numerous professional opportunities and a high quality of life. Metrics that were considered included availability of entry-level jobs, median starting salaries, annual job-growth rate, workforce diversity, housing affordability, projected population growth and more.

Durham also ranked on the national list landing among the top 37 percent of all cities. With an overall ranking of 42, the Bull City nabbed second place among U.S. cities with the highest starting salaries.

With the bustling Research Triangle Park and numerous global, national, regional and local businesses headquartered in the Triangle, our area is certainly ripe with employment opportunities.
