Our very own Bull City scored a spot on Business Insider’s list of the 13 Hottest American Cities for 2016. The business research site compiled its list following a thorough review of area job and population growth, health and wellness, and cost of living. Consideration was also given to the City’s ability to draw a creative class to drive further innovation.
According to the Business Insider article: “Durham, North Carolina, has long been a center for innovation in tech, thanks in part to the universities of the Research Triangle. Major companies like IBM and Cisco have been in Durham for decades. But now, thanks to its relatively low cost of living, the city of 286,000 is becoming a hub for young companies looking to get their ideas off the ground.”
The City’s bustling American Tobacco Campus gained special attention as a happening complex for “hip working spaces, retail, and restaurants and bars.”
Still not sure the Triangle city is for you? Perhaps the other accolades will turn your head in Durham’s direction:
