We did it! We reached our Turkeys for the Triangle donation goal! With your support, we donated a record 4,000 turkeys to feed more than 16,000 people in need this holiday season.
We wrapped up our program last week with our second turkey distribution event to feed families for Christmas. Our Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston team and the US Veterans Corp loaded 1,500 turkeys into cars, vans and trucks headed to more than 40 local nonprofits and military organizations. Those birds will fill the bellies of our neighbors from Alamance County all the way to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro.
Now, it’s time to say thanks to the many organizations and people who helped make this great effort possible.
We are tremendously grateful for the wonderful support we received from Butterball, LLC. Our Garner neighbor donated 1,500 Butterball brand turkeys to support our Thanksgiving turkey distribution event to expand our reach and feed more food-insecure people this year.
Our good friends at Johnson Lexus of Raleigh generously donated our Turkeys for the Triangle raffle grand prize, which was a one-year lease on a new 2016 Lexus 350 ES. Johnson Lexus of Raleigh also helped spread the word about our raffle fundraiser to their clients and staff. We are very appreciative of their support.
Thank you also to HMS Home Warranty and Lisana Activewear for their kind donations to our cause. Their consideration was so very thoughtful.
