You know we love a good “Best of” list, especially when not just one, but two of our favorite Triangle cities are ranked. It’s even better when the list is touting the vast opportunities for businesses and career growth.
Forbes recently announced its 2015 Best Places for Business and Careers citing the Raleigh-Cary and Durham metros in the top 20 cities on its list of 200 metropolitans throughout the U.S.
Coming in second position on the list, Raleigh continues to offer a strong business landscape with employer benefits that draw talent to the fast-growing area. The City of Medicine ranked 20th bolstered by its developing healthcare, biotechnology and IT industries within and around Durham. Both cities gain advantage from the nearby Research Triangle Park, which continues to offer new and nascent business opportunities across multiple industry sectors.
According to Forbes, “Migration into [Raleigh] has been the eighth fastest in the U.S. over the past five years as people gravitate to the area with large employers like corporate giants BASF, Biogen, Cisco Systems, Fidelity Investments, GlaxoSmithKline, IBM and others. All have a large presence in Raleigh or the nearby Research Triangle Park. These employers benefit from business costs 15 percent below the national average and a labor force where 44 percent hold a college degree.”
Recognized as a “steady performer,” the Raleigh-Cary metro has held one of the top three rankings on Forbes’ Best Places for Business and Careers list for more than a decade.
With employment and career opportunities abundant, and promise for continued advancement, its no wonder this real estate selling season has seen record-breaking sales trends.
