January 2015 – Happy New Year!!!
On a personal note…
Jennifer had a very low key Christmas this year with her family. On Christmas Eve they visited Santa at the mall, stopped by Ron’s house (Jason’s Dad) where they had some of Ron’s famous, yummy bbque, went to church and then had Jen’s mom and husband over for dinner. After dinner, Jen’s girls made sure that they spread plenty of reindeer food (oatmeal and glitter) out so that Santa and his reindeer would know where to land. Jen’s youngest daughter’s favorite gift was hand bells and her oldest daughter’s favorite gift was a bow and arrow. Jen’s Dad made a quick visit right after Christmas which was Jen’s favorite present of the season! Jen took a quick trip to Colorado to visit the rest of her family to bring in the New Year and to join her husband for his work holiday party.
Jason had a wonderful holiday with family & friends! He went to visit his sister, Kristen, who lives in NYC, to enjoy a weekend long “Santacon” festivities. His younger brother, Matthew, tagged along for the trip as well. Jason and some friends also hung over 20,000 lights on his house for the holiday, which has become a tradition for his n’hood and taken on a life of it’s own. For Christmas, he stayed local and enjoyed time with his family and for New Year’s he went to Wilmington with his sister to visit his younger brother. His older brother, Ron, and wife, Kat, made the trip up from FL along with their crazy dogs, Owen & Max…it was a full house and a great time! Lastly, his family celebrated quite a few birthdays, including his Mom on the 15th, brother on the 19th, sister on the 27th and Dad on the 29th…it would have been an expensive month had he bought them gifts; he gave the gift of love J Happy Birthday!
Sharon had a fun and busy Holiday season. The kids were excited to bring home a “real” Christmas tree this year from their Thanksgiving trip to the mountains and they decorated the yard with new lights and even a light up reindeer. They also lit the Menorah and baking some cookies to celebrate. She spent a quiet and relaxing Christmas in Savannah, Georgia with Roger and rung with the New Year here in Raleigh with Jessica and Michael and friends at their awesome new home off Glenwood!
