Mark your calendars for three days of family fun at the 2014 Got To Be NC Festival! The annual celebration of North Carolina agriculture returns to the NC State Fairgrounds starting May 16th. Children will love exploring the Agri-Plaza and Kidz Corral between the Jim Graham and Expo buildings where they’ll be able to see baby chickens hatch, watch ducklings slip and slide in a pool, see longhorn steers up close and learn how to milk a goat. The Walmart Grandstand will feature a variety of free entertainment throughout the festival, including:dog demonstrations from the Wake County Sheriff’s Canine Unit, a patriotic flag presentation on horseback and an antique tractor pull competition. The Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show returns to the festival this year with daily shows near Dorton Arena. A fireworks show is planned for both nights, and there are a variety of other events happening at the Fairgrounds over the weekend!
