One of the area’s most popular food trucks, American Meltdown, has returned victorious after a trip to L.A. for The Grilled Cheese Invitational. The Invitational hosts both “amateur” and professional grilled cheese “sammich” makers from across the country and offers several competition categories. The entries are judged by bloggers, food press and adoring fans. American Meltdown made sure to feature local N.C. ingredients in each of their entries, and earned honors in 3 categories.
You can check them out on Saturday from 8AM-noon at the North Hills Farmers Market, at the Jimmy Buffet concert at Walnut Creek Amphitheater in Raleigh on April 22 and at Brewgaloo in downtown Raleigh on April 26.
