It’s baaaack! The N.C. State Fair is back, for yet another year of food, fun and festivities! The theme this year is “North Carolina’s Homecoming” and is to reflect that North Carolinians from across the state and from all walks of life come together for food and fun each year at the fair. This marks the 146th fair in 160 years! Enjoy the midway and munch on delicacies like the new Krispy Kreme Sloppy Joe or fried Kool-Aid. There are plenty of performances, including Florida Georgia Line and Scotty McCreery, along with statewide competitions including categories like livestock, cooking and horse shows. For a more educational experience, take the family to see the Village of Yesteryear or the Mobile Dairy Classroom. The Fair is truly fun for the whole family. The Fair opened on Thursday and will run through Sunday, October 27th; it will be open from 8 AM to midnight each night. Visit the website for more information, and be sure to check the calendar for opening and closing times for the days you are going!
