The Triangle is well-known as a great place to live and work, and now the Durham-Chapel Hill metro has been recognized as the top mid-sized city in the country for women in the workforce. According to a new study by NerdWallet, the Durham-Chapel Hill area ranks #1 due to its wide range of research and university-related jobs and the fact that women earn 93.5% of what men earn. The area boasts a growing population, with great educational institutions and fantastic dining and entertainment. NerdWallet looked at metro areas with characteristics that support working women, including: a growing economy, a small gender pay gap, and robust salaries. The fact that it’s an awesome place to live is just icing on the cake!
