Another article I found interesting last week was from the Wall Street Journal: “Survey: Homeowners’ Biggest Regret? Didn’t Buy Bigger”
We deal with a lot of sellers who need more space; that is a big reason for moving, especially when not leaving town for a job or another specific reason. I think many owners say they wish they would have bought bigger, however I’m not sure they factor in the reduction in disposable income they would have due to higher maintenance costs, utility bills, mortgage payment, etc. Some people should have bought bigger and not been so conservative, but I think many owners would have regretted it as well.
Any other opinions?
