Raleigh has been named to the number two spot on the National Federation of Independent Business’s list of the top five best places in the country to start a business. The City of Oaks comes in just behind tech-capitol Silicon Valley in California, which continues to attract the lion’s share of venture capital. Raleigh, however, makes up ground with its burgeoning population, a fast-growing job market, safety, and affordable housing. Other names on the top five list: Madison, Wisconsin; Austin, Texas; and Boulder, Colorado. Visit the Triangle Business Journal for more.
